BritList24 is a place to play simple classic games in the browser. There is nothing to install, no account to set up and nothing to buy. Board and card favourites sit beside quick puzzles, and each game has a card showing how many can play, how long a round lasts, how hard it is and how players rate it.

Getting started
Just three things to do
It hardly counts as a procedure, yet people ask how it works, so here it is written down.
-
Look at the cards
The badges are the same on every card: players, round length, difficulty and rating. Got a spare couple of minutes? Try snake or word guess. Fancy something longer? Draughts or solitaire will fill it. Want company on the same screen? Four in a Row works well.
-
Press play
Each game opens right here on BritList24, in the very tab you are looking at. You never fetch an app, switch on a plugin, save a file or create an account.
-
Play, stop, come back
Nobody tracks you from game to game. Close the tab whenever you like, and return to the list when another round appeals.
How we choose
A short list stays good only if someone looks after it
The idea behind BritList24 is simple: people keep coming back to the games they already know. Board and card games come first, quick puzzles after them. None needs a tutorial, a login or any setting up before your first move.
-
Familiar games first
Every game here has been around for generations. The rules are probably in your head already, so you can start straight away.
-
Served by us, played in your browser tab
All the games are delivered from our own servers. Anything that wants an installation, a sign-in or one specific device is left off.
-
Open to everyone
Nothing is locked, nothing is for sale and nobody has to register, whichever game you open.
-
The same four badges throughout
Players, round length, difficulty and rating follow one set of measures for every game, so the cards can be compared fairly.
-
Checked now and then
We play each game again from time to time. When one drifts away from what its card promises, we mend it or remove it.
